I am looking for the tool that you use to inject grease between the front and rear leaf springs. It looks like a chisel with a hole in the tapered end. The other end has a recessed grease fitting so you can hammer in in place and then use your grease gun to inject the grease. I can't find a vender that has it.

I bought a spring leaf spreader tool off of ebay to split the leaves. Although I like the tool you are describing.

I've seen a couple on epay lately. Antique auto tools, vintage Ford tools, etc.

You just missed it, sold yesterday over $100. I coated my springs with a perminent graphite application that Les reccomends in his book. I can get you the name. It is quite hard to find, but I now have a gallon of it, if anyone is doing their springs, let me know. |
