V8 Clutch
I put in a V8 pressure plate and I have had it fail twice in past year. Each time the pin that holds the fingers has come out far enough that the finger no longer will function. The first time it happened we found that a keeper on the end of the pin had come off or was never installed. I replaced the keeper and now it has happened again. It seems like a bad design to use a keeper instead of another positive method to keep the pin in place. I am getting tired of pulling the engine for this problem. Has anyone had this problem or know of a better clutch to avoid this in the future. I got the clutch new from Vintage Ford

Re: V8 Clutch
All made in China. I always send my old USA clutch to Ft. Wayne clutch and have it reworked. Never a problem.
