Your story personifies the best of what a family can be. What a great example for all of us. Our country needs more people like you.

I sometimes tell folks not to try and restore a car to like new condition right away. Your car is a perfect example of that even though you were luckier than most to find the major parts you needed so quickly. That doesn't happen easily on a car that old. A person can enjoy a car without getting burned out on a restoration project that can sometimes take years to find all the pieces to go that route.

Get it running, spruce it up so as to be able to use it, and enjoy it for a good bit. Memories are made from stuff like this.

The car looks great, hope you all enjoy many great times with it. I also enjoyed your daughter's cover of "Stairway to Heaven."

These are great memories that will last for your life time, and that of your daughters. Be proud, you are a good dad.

Nice job with the car and fantastic job raising your girls; if only more families were involved in stuff like this today, maybe we wouldn't be where we're at.

Great job. Those girls will remember this adventure for the rest of their lives. Being a good dad is a full time job and pays off down the road.

This is one of the neatest old car and family stories I've read in quite some time - just wonderful. The experiences you're all sharing create a lifetime foundation of positive memories - based on participation, versus "talk". You're one heck of a good Dad and you have a wonderful family -- keep doing all your doing. I also hope that one day you'll pass that 38' onto one of your kids and that they cherish it long after you've parted this earth - and that they pay it forward with their kids. Thanks for sharing - made my night!

What a wonderful story and a very nice 38. You may be "out numbered" 3 to 1, but what a blessing. The smiles on everyone's face......priceless !!!
I too commend you sir, & "the girls".....very nice.

Somehow I was following this thread and marveling at your skills in the paint/resto/non resto field and didn't look at the videos until now. I grew up in a very musical family, where we all played instruments and sang. I KNOW the difference. That cover of Stairway was absolutely first rate and all the things that the others said about your fathering was spot on. Keep doing what you are doing. And more pics of the 38 as you go on.
