I just looked at the 15 day forecast for San Diego and it shows no rain.

I’ve not been impressed with this event when it comes to finding Model A items for the last 5 years. The Pomona Swap meet is much bigger and it also has small amount of Model A sellers.
In my opinion the Big Three has turned into the sell anything you want kind of swap meet. Furniture, clothes, old TV’s much newer car parts and cheap Chinese junk tools.
I’m done attending it.

The Model A swap meet held every September at the Baseball Park is so much better.

Hey Gary,
Are you guys bringing any of your restored Model A's for viewing?
It's always the highlight of the swap meet for me!

Do you mean the one at the Little League Baseball Park in San Bernardino? It’s also easier to walk.

The Riverside Model T Club has a Swap Meet there in May or June with a lot of Model A Parts.

Do you think the San Diego Model A and Model T clubs could do something next year at a smaller venue?

I doubt that neither the Model T or A Clubs of San Diego will take on the task of organizing and running a San Diego swap meet. Also, keep in mind that there are no workable spaces in San Diego with enough space at a good price to put on a swap meet. Sadly, this is our last.
Fullraceflathead, I guess you never visited our swap meet space at the Big 3. We have had tons of Model A parts and will again this year.
Neil, we'll have a couple of Model A's there. I won't bring my early '28 Coupe there but hope to for the Pancake Breakfast.

What space number are you in, or location?

Mark Williamson and I will be in NN F 16 through 19. Not sure where this is as it looks like they changed our location this year!

Gary, you & Mark are right behind me and we use the F3 light pole as a landmark, about 1/2 way up the hill in the north section. Ray

I just picked up about 20 plus boxes of original Model A parts yesterday from the estate of a long time Model A restorer here in Southern California and will be selling as much as we can at the Big 3 at spaces NN F 16 through 19. Stop by and say hi and see the collection of original quail ornaments!

We stopped by and had great fun with the Model A people on Friday and the weather was perfect. Plenty of Model A parts available. Hope they find a new spot for next year.

I sold a lot of parts on Friday. Since I had already paid for a hotel, I decided to return on Saturday, hoping that the weatherman had been exaggerating.

Initially it looked like he had, and then it poured for 2 hours from about 10am until noon.

The threat of rain not only scared away the sellers, but the buyers also.

I did not sell much, but the people who did buy my parts were happy they found a spot selling Model A parts.
A couple of guys were happy to sit under my tarps, for awhile.

I drove over 100 miles Friday morning to get to the swap meet. On Saturday, before the heavy rain, I met a 1930 Model A coupe owner who turns out, lives real close to me. We made plan to caravan to the OCMAFCA pancake breakfast, in March.

Over all, I'm glad that I stayed on Saturday.

I pulled in at 8AM Saturday morning. I could see that the field sparsely populated. Sellers told me most had pulled out Friday night because of bad weather. Rain and wind started again Saturday. Shoppers were fleeing the scene. I didn't fine much of anything Model A.
