Pitman arm thread?
I have an F1 steering box in my project car. Somewhere along the way the nut for the pitman arm went missing. It seems to be a hard to find item? My car is in storage for the winter but I thought I'd try to find a new nut. Is there anyone who carries new old stock? Or, does anyone have the thread size and pitch so I can locate a commercial replacement? Thanks!!

Re: Pitman arm thread?
The size is 7/8 x 14 tpi. Same nut for decades. I probably have an extra here somewhere out in the cold barn. Too cold now, maybe this weekend.

Barnfind08 aka Fred @ Southside Obsolete would have an NOS for sure. I can't recall the thread, but the nut is thin like a jam nut and you also need the corresponding split washer as well.
Call Fred and be done with it. |
