FOI. Illinois is getting bad when it comes to evaluating the value of a vehicle when it comes to paying Illinois Sales Tax on older vehicles. They now seem to feel that a non- running parts car with a title in need of a total total restoration (A number six type) is somehow worth the same as a restored car. A friend of mine purchased a car and he ended up paying $900.00 just in the tax !!!!

We all know it costs more to restore one of these cars than it is worth at the end. Tell them that since I have to spend say, $50,000 to end up with a car worth $20,000, it has negative value. Therefore, you pay me!!!
