Default Victoria Shift Lever

A club member's knuckles crash into the dash when he shifts to second gear. Did the Vickys have a different shift lever than other body styles? With a bend more toward the seat maybe.

His Vicky is not a points car so I am going to bend it back a little but we are just curious if the Vickys were had a different lever originally.

I did bend my own shifter in my Town Sedan 2" to the navigator's side to give me more leg room. I used a tool that I made to do this and it worked well. I have read on Ford Barn that some members just grab the shifter and pull on it but I'm not that brave.

Three different shifter angles, the 30-31 had more of an angle

Like BH said the oval speedometer cars had a 20° bend and the round speedometer
cars had a 28° bend.

Victorias use the exact same shift lever as all other 30-31 Model A's. His shift lever has probably been bent over the years.

I would agree that you can bend more angle into the shift lever. However, unless i'm wrong, what you have is a 28/29 shift lever. Rick
