Default 13/32" Box Wrench

I'm putting together a tool kit for our clubs 90 Year Old Zenith guru for when he goes to help other members with their Zeniths. The proper wrench size for the GOV packing hex is 13/32". Yes, I KNOW that it is common to take a 10mm open end wrench and open it up a bit to fit but I want a box end wrench. Any suggestions?

They are out there I got a couple at a swap meet years ago! Maybe auto parts store would carry them?

Didn't a Barner manufacture a batch or two of 13/32" sockets a few years ago?

I rebuild lots of carburetors and use a 6 point 11mm 3/8 drive deep socket. Aside from GAV housings that have been totally “mutilated” in past attempts at loosening with any number of open end, adjustable, or vise-grip wrenches, this combination works 99% flawlessly. The 1% where I have a problem is with those GAV housings that seem to be embedded in the carb casting. In that case, a combination of penetrating oil and heat will help achieve success. Yes, in cases where the GAV “nut” has been galled evenly, a 10mm socket may just fit and work with a little gentle hammer persuasion.

Bruce, that was back farther than we think... 2015? https://fordbarn.com/forum/showthrea...0740&showall=1

If I remember correctly that really great effort on his part turned into a lot of more work than he bargained for with very little return. Mr Haag has not posted on Ford Barn since...

He made us a fantastic socket tho. He supplied the little case for it also.I have one and is one of my prized tools. That is a 13/32" wrench next to it.

13/32 needed not 11/32 (11/32 is quite common)

Somebody showed a box end only wrench (which is a lathe tool post wrench) he is correct in saying that it doesn't look like it would fit, I passed it over for just that reason. He says it fits though so I got one off ebay. Thanks for the help.

I still have a few of these wrenches... Perfect for those stubborn GAV.

See my post in the swap forum.
