Details on 35 Ford pickup pin stripe
I know it's 5/8" inch below the belt molding, but I am not sure about the front end of the pin stripe. I have found no info or pictures on this detail.
Does the pinstripe kick up at the front end, like the belt molding on the hood, or does it just continue straight to the end of the hood. I assume it kicks up, but you know what happens when you assume. You make an ass out of U and me. Thanks fellows. Lawson

Lawson, Your Ass-umption is correct. The stripe kicks up as it approaches the end of the hood panel. The degree of kickup varied from between assembly plants.
Here's a factory photo as well as 3 photos of my original hood. Last edited by Don Rogers; 06-27-2016 at 07:26 AM. |

Re: Details on 35 Ford pickup pin stripe
Is the pin stripe color on the green Pickup pictured an apple or straw color?

Re: Details on 35 Ford pickup pin stripe
Just scrolling through the barn as I am often wont to do and ran across this posting from 6/26/16 about the minutiae of pinstriping. And, as I am also wont to do, is to put things off occasionally, in this instance just a smidgen over 6 years. Still no pinstripe on Apatchy. (Picture a red face here.)
