Re: Deleting a post
The cost of storage is so low that it is better not to waste the time of the people running the site with a "delete", just leave it there and it will disappear off the bottom of the page. Or add "sold" or whatever to the post and forget about it. Why did they remove the "delete" button. They described the reason somewhere in the archives if you really want to know.

Re: Deleting a post
Hi Charlie.
Yes I do know why they deleted it, there's one of my swap posts that I would like to edit or delete, however there was no option at the time, anyone know of a way around it?.

OK I give up. Why did they delete the delete button?

Re: Deleting a post
Does swap page allow edits? If so can you edit it by deleting
all text and leave three dots like in the FB forum? |

Not sure exactly why, but after a period of time, the "Edit" feature disappears on the swap meet posts and you are unable to edit or delete it. At that point, the only thing to do is post a follow-up message that the item has been sold or no longer available, or to let it just fade away into the sunset. |

Re: Deleting a post
If you look in the Stickys (Manners new rules) we were told why the edit function was deleted, it was implicated to help rid the Barn of disruptive posters from removing there nasty comments.
The edit button is always there on the swap section, maybe on all post, as Don said it may disappear after a while, without it you could not correct errors in your posts.
