Coker classic radials.
I have just bought a set of Coker Classic 600 16 tires for my 36 coupe.
Already Im hearing that they are not all that good. Does anyone have something good to say about them? Robert |

Re: Coker classic radials.
I have a set on my '51 coupe. As I remember, the front tires (195/75R15) were spot on and didn't need to be balanced. The rears (225/75R15) required a couple of ounces each. I have had them on for 3 years with no problems and I like them. I store my car over the winter, and find they need only a couple of pounds of air to bring them back up in the spring, which is better than what I'm used to.
My only problem is that the rears are slightly too big and one hits the fender well occasionally; I should have ordered 215/75R15's. It's odd that I have problems on one side only; I loosened everything up in the rear suspension and tried to center it. I even swapped the leaf springs and shackles from one side to the other and the problem persists. |

Quite a bit of interesting and "different looking" flathead hardware available from some manufacturers "down-under". DD |

I have had a set of Coker Classics on my '50 Custom Deluxe for over 6 years with no problems. Really like them. Nice looking tire. Pat

Re: Coker classic radials.
I just replaced a set on my 41 that had been on it for several years with absolutely no problems.

Re: Coker classic radials.
Thanks for the positive reports everyone. I really appreciate your help.
I feel much more confident now. Some people just seem to want to bag everything, maybe they are just jealous. |

Re: Coker classic radials.
A couple of you wanted some pictures of my flathead.
I designed and fabricated the efi myself. It is not a copy of someone elses work. It runs very nicely. It uses an Aussie EMS computer , four Harley Davidson coils and a pair of Ford festiva throttle bodies that open progressively. |

Re: Coker classic radials.
This is an older picture of my cab and frame after I got my Coker classics on and ready to fire the flathead. I also got the rims from Coker that I ordered powder coated in Red Baron Red.
Those are great pictures Robert, thanks for posting. Gives us all some motivation to work in the garage this week |

Re: Coker classic radials.
I put a set of Coker's on my '40 Dean and it has made such a difference in ride and handling. That was 4 years ago and I really think they're a great tire. I did look at Diamondback's, but every time I called them they said just a few more months which turned into 2 years !

Re: Coker classic radials.
Good to hear these reports, because I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some Coker radials in the next few weeks.
FYI, for those in the States, if you order through Summit Racing the price per tire is the same but ground shipping is free. Coker's shipping quote wasn't bad ($63 to me in IL), but hard to beat free.
