I had this setup on my Coupe, and it easily cruised at 60 - 65 MPH. I had it up to 80 MPH and it was still pulling, but unbalanced wheels gave it the shakes so I went no faster. Gas mileage improved and the engine ran cooler.

Compression and carb are the 2 easiest ways for more power, 60 HP would be my guess.

Please warn us if you do this again, I don't want to be hit by a flying piston or rod!

Not to worry, all the parts will be stopped on the road along with Bob when you catch up to him................

J Franklin, the motor that did 80 MPH now has over 50,000 miles on it, and it is still strong runner. Model "A' and especially Model "B" motors are tough to destroy.

I know built right they can, but I don't want to encourage too many on this site to try or figure it is good to try. I have gone 70MPH once on the L.A. freeway system when the exit to another freeway was from the left lane and traffic was going over the speed limit as it does rarely. After I did my exit and merge I could smell my bearings protesting. Model A engines are tough but expensive to replace.
