Grease fittings - special grease gun tip?
How do you guys grease your model A ? My standard grease gun tip is too big especially for the smaller grease fittings. I tried a needle point and that was good for some but not all.
Anyone ever count how many grease fittings there are - OMG |

Re: Grease fittings - special grease gun tip?
Years ago I bought the special metal tip from Bratton's and it worked great on my modern gun, which has since disappeared. Now I use the original tool kit grease gun, and it also works great.

i also use the little adapter that Tom mentioned on my modern gun...
there is always the possibility some of your fittings could be angled in the wrong direction |

From Snyders: $4
Grease Gun Adapter This is the special adapter needed to grease the old style grease fittings. Just screws onto a regular grease gun. U.S.A.

Also, I discovered if your original style fittings have been sitting for a while like mine were for 5 years, you might need to pull some of them to clean the hardened grease in the fitting or try a paper clip, carefully to get the grease flowing in.

Re: Grease fittings - special grease gun tip?
If at a swap meet, you see one of the old-style plunger guns with the correct tip, buy it. They are often easier to use than the various modern styles, since they are more compact and can more easily reach all the fittings.

Re: Grease fittings - special grease gun tip?
I've used a needle type adapter . Some time on new project where grease hasn't been applied a little heat to loosen the area up so I can get some new grease in .....
Bought the needle adapter at NAPA ....
