1939 ford V8-60 truck 3 speed transmission questions
Pictured is a 1939 ford pickup V9-60 transmission.
Will the later type gears fit in the case without clearance issues like a 48 case? Obviously this one had been out in the weather. The other question is the odd looking thow out bearing hub ? Is it unique to the V8 60 or swapped into this from something else? |

Had one of these a few years ago. Looked like regular gears would go right in. If I remember correctly there were thrust washers at both ends of the cluster gear.
