Re: Tire pressure for tires on a model A Ford
I'm in awe that a couple PSI of air pressure in your tires concerns you but $8 a gallon for gas does not.

Re: Tire pressure for tires on a model A Ford
I think that you are trying to be a little too picky. 2.5 bar is a hair over 36 lbs. You will never notice a difference that small. Most off-the-shelf gauges are only accurate to 1-2 lbs.
You are not running a high precision race car. For your purposes, 2.5 bar falls well within what I call "acceptable degrees of good-enoughness." Ken

Re: Tire pressure for tires on a model A Ford
Isn't it AMAZING, that someone hasn't come up with something BETTER than the conventional PNEUMATIC TIRE????
Years back, a Frenchman tried a HUGE coil spring, inside the tire, even! Either Pirelli or Michelin??? made a tire with changeable tread section, PRETTY TRICK!! My Friend, Mike Scelzi, had a set on his Old Volvo, 544-Sport. He grabbed them from a Trade In Car!!!---It's good to ALWAYS be BUDDIES, with the Used Car Manager---LODeals!! Train WHEELS/TRACKS are even the same OLD Design. Train Track width, mimicked the spacing of CHARIOT Wheel tracks & still DOES!!! Bill History101

Real men don't use a gauge...........they just kick the tires. If the big toe hurts, then they have enough air.

Truckers check their air by BANGING on the tread, with a BIG Iron Bar. NO, they're NOT MAD at the TRUCK---LOL

Re: Tire pressure for tires on a model A Ford
Here in AZ when you fill it to 35 PSI and after a 2 hour drive in warm weather 85+ degrees
the pressure of the tire had increased to 40 PSI, car was bouncing so I lowered it to 30 PSI for a nicer ride.. |

Re: Tire pressure for tires on a model A Ford
Max pressure on the tire sidewall is the max pressure the tire manufacturer recommends. The correct tire pressure for modern cars is displayed on the drivers door. The accepted correct tire pressure for the model A (according to Henry) is 35 pounds. That's good enough for me.
