Default '35 Inner Fender question

Is there a rubber piece that fits over the top of the inner fender to prevent it from scratching? Or are there just two bumpers attached to the top of the inner fender to cushion the hood? I have attached a picture of a car that appears to have such a rubber piece. I cant' find such a thing in the parts books and there is nothing about it in the Early Ford V-8 Club book. I'd appreciate advice. Thanks.

I think what you're seeing is the fender welting placed between fender and inner fender. There is only the two bumpers [one is pictured just in front of the arrow] which are riveted to the top of each inner fender.

The hood side panel once latched in place has those rubber bumpers.
You are looking for part number 48-16761
There are two rubber bumpers per side along with rubber corners for the bottom of the hood sides.
Available at most Ford reproduction vendors.
