Points car
Hello. Long time listener, first time caller"...............
If one has a car that isn’t completely correct, I.e. shiny new bolts holding bumper on, etc etc, can one enter judging with said vehicle, and that the final judging be a standard to tell one what to change to make the car correct? Thanks in advance! Gene |

Re: Points car
I have always seen judging aimed to that end, not that I have anything worthy of being judged. If you enter a car you want judged, aren't they obligated to conduct the exam and detail deficiencies?

Re: Points car
You can do that, in fact a good idea if you are interested in having your car judged at future meets. I would get a copy of MAFCA's judging standards first, to determine what class you would be entered, etc. I think NAFCA and MARC now use the same standards, but do have different classes that you can enter your car into.

Re: Points car
To enter a vehicle in fine point judging the vehicle must meet the 14 requirements for preliminary judging. see the attached pages RG&JS 9 and 10 revised 2011
If the vehicle meets the 14 requirements it will be entered into the appropriate class for final judging. see the attached pages pages RG&JS 11 and 12 revised 2011

YES we have many that have done that, what is important though is that you meet the 14 points as mentioned to be able to enter fine point... Good Luck

Re: Points car
I say, make sure that you have the 14 items covered and go for it. It will be a great learning experience for you plus you will be encouraged to be an apprentice judge and participate in the judging process. You will learn a lot.
