Default Who Will Fix Your Model "A"? "Mr. Nobody"

https://youtu.be/Z80BrugnLVs

-clip from "Betty Boop For President in 1932".

Actually, the Model "A" members of this site are unbelievably helpful. We owners from the '50s and '60s would have loved to have had access to such information.

If you look at the whole cartoon, Betty morphs into President Hoover and Al Smith, personages we all know from the Model "A" era.

oh I am sure humor styles have changed since the Model "A" era, what was funny to them might be merely educational to us. to me, much of the social history of that era is interesting.....their clothing, their movies, Prohibition, etc.

I even know people who collect the cars of that long-vanished time LOL

A little more up to date:

With elections drawing near over there, it is pretty near impossible to say much here without being reported yet politicians are the same the world over.

do you think one reason some people collect old cars is a feeling of nostalgia for everyday life in those earlier eras? although we know our ancestors had huge problems, we have the benefit of knowing the results...or maybe we just ignore the negative aspects of history.

It's not as fun these days because the message is old and well understood now. Back then it may have had a certain "wow" factor but today it's more like "Yeah, so what's your point?".
