Tillotson Gaskets
Rebuilding a Tillotson carb but I don't know where each of the gaskets belong.
Where do the three round gaskets go that are shown in the box in this picture? I suspect they go on the jet somehow, but my jet doesn't want to come out. |

Re: Tillotson Gaskets
This helps, but I'm not sure which gasket goes in the places shown. I'll go back to my teardown and see if one seems to fit better in each location.
Thanks. |

Re: Tillotson Gaskets
What is the correct thread size for the bore for the jet and drain plug? Looks like 3/8" -24 tpi but I'm not positive.

Re: Tillotson Gaskets
The Model A parts suppliers stock a book on rebuilding the Tillotson Model X carburetor. I is a must have in my opinion. I rebuilt my first Model X a bout four years ago and up till then I had rebuilt countless carburetors but never a Model X. The book will be very helpful.
Good luck on your rebuild. Chet |
