Re: Sedan delivery auction
this is the delivery in question.. (that the O.P. was interested in) again the auctioneer's "process" was awful.. Id have spent ALOT more that day if they wouldnt have wasted so much time.

well they brought in high prices, so maybe the wasted time boosted the prices. 21k for a WW2 jeep with no title........insane. |

Re: Sedan delivery auction
The onsite buyer's premium was 15 percent, so the total would be about 6,900.00 plus tax. I was told by the auction house it did not have a title. The price paid was probably very fair. I was interested in it but decided I really need to focus on existing projects and not create new ones.

Re: Sedan delivery auction
This was purchased by Dr Jordon Beller and will reside in The Beller Museum, Romeoville, IL. I'm sure that it will be freshened, not restored to showroom condition. The Beller Museum is a private museum with about 75 cars and trucks, mostly model A's and B's. It is free to attend and generally open now Monday through Thursday. Call ahead to be sure someone will be there. I volunteer there two days a week working on restorations.

Re: Sedan delivery auction
Glad it went to a good home. It is certainly a neat Model A.

Re: Sedan delivery auction
All the vehicles referenced in this thread are delivery vehicles, but would it not be correct to state none of them are sedan deliveries?

Re: Sedan delivery auction
Barry022, you are absolutely correct. There were no Model A “ sedan” deliveries. The Ford term for Model As is”Deluxe Deliveries”

Re: Sedan delivery auction
Could be wrong but I was under the impression that the 28-29 were sedan deliveries and the 30-31 were deluxe deliveries. The difference being that the 28-29 were basically a sedan without the quarter windows and a rear door where the 30-31 were 8" longer than a sedan so a different body all together. Doesn't really matter to me, I just call them all "deliveries" anyway.
