Default 28 roadster radiator support rod mounts

I would love a little assistance if someone has some time. I have a 28 roadster that has one of those gas tank eliminator cowl panels and a upper firewall with a bead rolled panel. What I am looking for is the distance between centers of the radiator support rod mounts on the upper firewall and the distance down from the top. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If no one else responds, I can measure the clips on my 28 coupe. It would be tough to guess the center of the radiator brackets in the horizontal position, as there is no good way to find the exact center. I think it would be easier to use the inner most rivet position as a reference.

That would be great. The rivet hole would work just fine. Just trying to get it close to the original placement. Thanks Rusty.

I assume your panel has a lower flange like a regular gas tank in the picture I posted -correct? I think measuring from the flange to the center of the rivet holes would be the most accurate. Measuring the distance between the inner bracket rivet holes would also probably be the most accurate, as the sides and top are curved and hard to get a good measurement. The brackets are centered on the tank, so you can figure out the exact spots to drill the holes with the measurement between the inner rivet holes.

Yes it does have the lower flange. I agree those measurements would work very well. I appreciate the help Rusty. Thank you

OK, here are the measurements I took from my 28 special coupe. From the top of the bottom flange to the center of the rivet holes is: 5 11/16". The measurement from the center of the inside 2 rivets is: 10 1/4". Hope this helps.
