1957 Ford Radiator
Guys, where is the best place to buy a radiator for my '57 Ranchero?? The motor is a 312. I know I could buy a generic aluminum radiator and make brackets to fit it but I'd kind of like a factory style radiator.
thanks in advance for your help! David |

Re: 1957 Ford Radiator
Hivolt, go over to 57fordsforever.com, research radiators. There is an active post about some aluminum radiators constructed just like the originals, pretty resonable price wise, Mark

Re: 1957 Ford Radiator
Frankenstein, i went over to 57fordsforever and searched on radiator. There were a lot of posts but I didn't see a whole lot of information regarding various places to purchase a radiator. Of course I didn't open up each thread so I may have missed the one that had the good info.

Re: 1957 Ford Radiator
Sorry I couldn't provide the link, I'm buried at work, tons of side work, and to top it off I bought a house that needs an interior makeover, I've only driven my ranchero twice this spring/summer. Although it feels more like fall around here. I visit these sites at the end of a long day, Mark

Re: 1957 Ford Radiator
No worries Frankenstein! I appreciate all of the inputs that have been provided.
The radiator that is in my Ranchero now is not a factory one; I'm actually not sure what vehicle it was made for. Like many of these great classics, the temperature of the motor really starts to creep up when idleing in traffic. The radiator has not boiled over but it gets hot. I'd like to get a factory style radiator for the Ranchero and then build a fan shroud to see if that helps the cooling at idle. |

Re: 1957 Ford Radiator
e-Bay. Type in 1957 Ford Radiator. You will get all sorts of options from new stock replacement to aluminum stock appearing for any where from about $200.00 up. I bought a new stock replacement from US Radiator and am very happy. Paid $387.00 and free shipping. They will even do mods for free. They added a transmission cooling line and moved the radiator cap to a different location for me.(Using it in an Edsel)
Good luck. |
