Default Junk or fixable?

S this B head has a crack through one of the "steam holes" is this fixable? I don't need it right now. I just need to know if I should toss it or save it for some future project or swap meet.

That crack needs no fix, unless you want to spend money and possibly end up with some other problem. I would run it as is.

It can be "stitched" up.

I agree, and I'd just use it.
If you want more power, then now is a good time for the 5.5 head.

If you look close that crack also extends to the combustion chamber which does need to be fixed unless you like water loss and overheating cars :P

Yes, the crack does continue into the combustion chamber. I think I got my answer. I won't throw it away, but keep it for future repair, use or trading material. Thanks.

Just be honest when using for trades or selling - circle the crack with a paint pen or sharpie or something - Ive seen numerous model A heads that have cracks people are trying to sell and they always say "I checked it over and didnt see any" yet if you fine tooth comb it there is a crack... Or it came off a running car - they dont say WHY it came off a running car...

When at swap meets it never hurts to have a strip of 500-1000 grit sandpaper in your wallet so upon inspecting you cant tell if its surface rust or a crack a quick little scuff will tell your answer. If the seller doesnt want you to do this they are hiding something.

yes its small enough it can be fixed so I wouldn't scrap it.
