"This car was built as a tribute replica of a track roadster of the late 40's. It began life as a '25 Nash. It was butchered until the last owner gave up and sold the remains at a swap meet. I bought it and kept it for several years until finally got tie to start on it. Unfortunately, the remaining pieces proved to be to far gone to save, so a complete new chassis was fabricated from tubing and the body was replaced with a fiberglass Ford Model T body from Dave Koorey Street Rods. The nose and cast aluminum grille are from Speedway motors. The windshield frame and stanchions are from Total Performance (before they sold out to Speedway). The hood is steel, fabricated by me. The radiator is aluminum with an electric fan. The engine is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder from a Chevy S10 pickup. It has been modified with a custom intake manifold to run with a carburetor in place of the bulky EFI. The transmission is a manual 5 speed, also from an S10. The rear end is an 8"ford from a mid '70's Maverick with a 3:55 gear, mounted to quarter-elliptic leaf springs. Front axle is a '67 Ford Econoline, mounted with Honda civic coils and Pinto shocks. All of the radius rods are Kurtis style to further replicate the '40's design. The dolphin gauges are black faced with curved glass. Tachometer is a vintage Sun unit. Seats are Kirkey aluminum buckets with 5 point harnesses and Speedway's black upholstery. The 10 gallon fuel cell is aluminum with foam baffling. the roll bar cage has bars on the sides of the body and under the cowl. The color is white pearl with red and blue candy metallic scallops, base coat/ clear coat acrylic urethane. All the lettering is done in vinyl, so it can be easily removed and replaced with the new owner's preference. The car only weighs 1630 pounds, light, nimble, and fun to drive."
