Default 56 1/2 ton differential gear ratio?

I'm going to replace the dieing Dana 41 that's currently in my 46 1/2 ton pickup. The original banjo apparently gave up years ago. I've located a Dana 44 from a 56 1/2 ton that seems like it will be an easy fit compared to anything newer. There is't a tag on the 44, anyone have an idea what the original gear ratios available for the 56 1/2 ton were? I'm wanting something a little more road friendly than the 4.27 in the Dana 41.

there iare two more, a 3.92 and a 4.09, got the info out of my 56 ford truck factory manual, check on some of the big fords and lincolns around 70 to late 80s for a 9 inch, a lot of good ratios in them, most will fit with just a little modifacation

Mine came from the factory with a 3:73 and it's stamped on the nomenclature plate at the door seam. I have never found that ratio in my 56 Ford parts book!

My 56 is a 2 wheel drive so I'm assuming that some of the 3:73 were installed in the 2 wheel drive trucks. Would this be an option from the factory?

The "Ford Pickup Red Book" shows the following Axle Ratios but does not say in which models they were available:
3.73, 3.92, 4.09, 4.27, 4.86, 5.14 and 5.83
