Paint Colors
Hi, at one time the post office were using A’s. I believe they were using a specific green. Would anyone know it’s name? Is there an on line colors charts?
Any info in this area is appreciated. Thanks very much Gino |

Re: Paint Colors
I think Paul Shinn would be the best person to answer that question I believe he has been around the Mail Truck version of the Model A.
P.S. any answers on the question?

Re: Paint Colors
It was very close to the 1926-27 Model T color Channel Green (or maybe Deep Channel Green). This formula is available in most Model restoration books.

Re: Paint Colors
It was hand painted in Olive Green. The book "The Ford Model A Mail Truck" by Aldie Johnson has three page on exactly how it was painted.
You can get the book from Postal A's. Its at the botto of the page. http://www.postalas.org/SiteMap.html |

Bob -
The metal cowl, gas tank and hood were hand-painted? Or just the wooden bodies? M. |
