I am 82 plus and have been into flathead Ford V8's about 50 years and still learning, I have been interested in cars since I was 16 belonging to car car clubs and being an engineer I used to make up speed equipment such as manifolds, suspension modifications, floor change conversions from steering column for cars for several years. The good old days. I am still making or modifying parts for V8 vehicles, and keeping in contact with other V8 owners. keeps me going. I do not get around much these days.

With all you 80+ year old guys weighing in and me being only 79, I feel like a kid!
I went to Home Depot in my 31 A. When I came out of the store a couple of women were looking at it. I told them I bought it new. They looked at me kind of funny. I think they believed it. Ruined my day!

When I see people eyeballing my '34, I usually tell them "Hey, if Social Security paid me better, I might be able to afford a newer car."

At 85, I'm 2 years into building a track roadster for the Antique races. Work on it several hours a day, should be finished before i'm 90. I hope.

I am 86 and may feel like I am getting old when I become 98. I think
old Ron will be right with me. G.M.

Visited an old friend today and we discussed aging....He said he always thought the old guys here in town walked over all hunched up and head down was because they had bad backs from years of toil. Now we decided they were looking just below their belt to see if 'it showed'......
