Everything you need for a cable control is included. As far as length, you just tell them you are mounting to the shifter and it is the correct length with the brackets. The height on the shifter is adjustable by moving the brackets up or down. It can be configured so that cable out is high, or low, and vice versa. I will see if I can get a photo.

I made a sleeve out of vinyl to cover the cable, as it looks too modern.

I extended the shifter with a chunk of aluminum round stock..to me it is too short with the mitchell knob.Got a couple of V8 swan neck shifters, thinking about adapting one ..

Good afternoon...For what it is worth, my Mitchell was installed in 2005 and I requested a longer cane shift and they made one the same highth as the normal gear shift! Price was reasonable and it works great...Ernie in Arizona
