Default 34 coupe GasTank Replacement

Howdy, Any suggestions on replacing my 34 gas tank? Mine is rusted pretty bad, and dented, also repair work done around bung area of tank. Still going to use 6 volt system, probably need sending unit, that accepts stock fuel lines also. I was thinking on trying to get my tank cleaned out,, but was nervous on overall condition. Any suggestions? Thanks Guys! Joe

Just be aware that the replacement senders work completely differently than the originals and you will have to come up with a gage that will work with the reproduction sending unit. The originals are not electric, they are a pneumatic type of gauge.

I have a '47 with electric tank-gauge system so not like your '34 pneumatic system (if that is what you're using). Wanted to note regard the tank itself, just bought and installed a Bob Drake reproduction gas tank in my '47. Accurate reproduction, perfect fit and well worth the cost. Received it across-country in 5 days.
