Default 1932-1939 Ford Horn Rod Tube Bushing?

I am planning on assembling a '37 steering column with horn tube/steering wheel this weekend. I got the Mac's Model A catalog and noticed that they have the "Light Switch Rod Bushing" available for 28-31. Do I need one of these for a V-8 column? I remember using one in my Model A to space the horn button away from the steering wheel as mentioned. It also mentions it being an "anti-chatter" bushing. Thanks, David

The Ford parts book shows it 1929-39.

If you are using an original light switch rod, then you should use the bushing. The reproduction light switch rods are slightly larger in diameter and leave no room for the bushing.

I have a 1938 in need of a horn button and light switch rod.I found the rods you talked about but there are Five choices. Since you are working on a 1937 can i assume i can use one like yours? Also how do you get the button off the rod? Thanks for any and all information.
