Default modern valve upgrade

what size chev vales are used in Model a engine up grade where do you get these ?

You can buy an oversize valve set from some of the major Model A suppliers.

chev valves can be used in a flathead 8 but they won't work in the model A engine.

If you take these "stainless" valves, hold a magnet against them and find that they are not interested in the magnet, you should about double the tappet clearances. They expand much more with heat than the old valves did. They will be noisy at start up but settle down quite quickly. Otherwise, you are probably going to burn them out.
