37 ford igtiton switch
I am removing the elerical parts to my 37 p/u and was looking for help on how to go about this project thanks tom

The switch itself has two screws holding it to the column mount. If you are talking about the key tumbler, it has a pin in it from the bottom. To remove it, you have to have a small screw, matching tap and drill bit and drill into it then insert the screw and use the screw to pull the pin out. The lock tumbler can then be removed.

Will the same work on a '39 Deluxe Coupe? I don't see any other way to get the pin out. Thanks Ken |

Yes on jimTN advice for your '39. Did the trick on my '39 pickup and then I tapped the hole and am using an allen screw instead of another brass plug.
