Default Zenith 2 & Holley

Here is a Question for the Carburetor guys that are really into them.. I have had over 300 or more carbs in my day, but never one like this one..It is the simple raised lettered Zenith 2 on the bowl, but it also has a Raised H on the throat of the bowl !!.. Never have seen one or heard of one like it. Its not in the Standards or Steve Pargeters Guideline book.. The closest Bowl in guidelines is stated to be used from Oct. 1928 through Dec.1928..But yet the Bowl looks like the one used from Feb. 1929 through April 1929.. ??????

Mix and match. You can use just about any top on any bottom.

The very last entry in this next postings has this info;

The Zenith 2 in raised letters was only used the first 4 months of 1929

Looking at the revised 2011 a raised H on a Holley would have been Dec 27 to Jan 29.
So it it couldn't be after Jan 29 Taking that into consideration if it has a raised ZENITH 2, then it could have been from Jan 29 to the end of Apr 29. So if it has raised letters for both then i would say it could only be a Jan 29.

OK, Thanks to Rancho for listing the pictures for me. In the Standards on p.1-15 revised 2016 it shows and reads; Typical 3rd brass plug near main bolt used on Zenith Carburetors from July 1928 through October 1928 and on Holley Carburetors from July 1928 through January 1929. So WHICH Carb is it ??
