Battery Operated Tachometer
A friend showed me his recent addition to his Tudor.
He has installed a battery operated tachometer, it uses a single lead that wraps around one plug wire. I have not investigated other brands just showing this one cuz he was quite happy with his. The model he installed is good for up to 4 cyls. Others listed on their website are suitable for up to 8 cyls.

Re: Battery Operated Tachometer
I tried one these two years ago last all of 20 minutes! Mine was not that model. Buyer beware.

Re: Battery Operated Tachometer
I have been using a "Tini-Tach" battery operated tach for about 5 years now. It uses a single wire that wraps around the coil wire.
I have them in 2 of my Model A's and one on my engine stand. Very satisfied. Several other members of the local Model A Club are also using them and are well satisfied. Chris W. |
