Hello. In my last video I had a persistent misfire. I also had loss of coolant which lead to boiling up. In this video I show how I went about finding the causes and remedying the situation.

I'm glad to see you were able to sort the misfire problem. I wonder what temperature thermostats you used?

Mart: When the engine is running the belt to the generator turn in the direction to loosen the generator pulley which is screwed onto the generator armature. The "Circ clip" is at the end of the armature to prevent the pulley from coming off the armature and going through the radiator while you are driving the car. Much damage can happen. As I mentioned before the 40 pick up you were working on also needs the "Circ-clip" Cheers!

I just looked and the generator on the 41 pickup is screwed on like you say, but there is no provision for a circlip. I have thought about it and the direction of rotation is in the tightening direction, so I think I'm all good on both vehicles.

I think they are 75 deg C or 160Deg F.

I can't see any markings. They are a pair I previously ran in my roadster before I swapped in the French motor.

I think I missed the part where you skipped the cooling fan, or is that to come later??

The cooling fan is a slimline electrical unit that just fits between the rad and the grille. I have a switch for it on the dash.

Why is the oil pressure so low at idle? Is that ok?
