flathead V8 suit rebuild or.......?
well someone posted some pics on here of a 36 coupe being dug out of a hole in the ground somewhere for restoration. I think I've found a motor to match that car this afternoon while out walking the kids.....

It's on a piece of land that as recently as the late 90's was covered in old V8 trucks (mostly Jailbars) and parts. The one I remember most was a full bodied 46-47 6 cylinder fire engine with signwriting for the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board on it. Don't think the old guy sold anything, and most of it melted away until the council told him to clean his yard or he died - I can't remember how it all ended. They obviously missed a few bits when they cleaned up! Will take a shovel around and look for a grille for my pickup I think..... |
