There were such relative few Mark IIs built because they were so Godly-expensive when new....starting at a then-astronomical figure of $10 grand +. The figures I had seen were 2,550 '56s, and 444 '57s built. I've always loved the things since I was a kid in the '50s and early '60 when you still saw one on the road every once in a Blue Moon. DD

Total agreement! Classically elegant or elegantly classic, one of the best
designs ever...
