This 1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe Phaeton was number 630 of 5,555 Phaetons for 1936! Making this a very early 1936! This car has NOT been hot-rodded, the entire drive train is original 1936. It is powered by a correct 21-stud 221ci Flathead V8 mated to the standard 3-speed floor-shift manual transmission. For touring purposes, this Phaeton has also been fitted with a 3:54 high speed rear end, allowing the car to comfortably cruise at modern highway speeds!
It is an extremely solid and well cared for car that was properly restored many years ago, but today remains in excellent, overall condition. The body is very tight and clean. The doors fit the body well and open and close as they should. The car runs very very strong, excellent running and driving car. It has never broken down on me. 1936 was the last year of the freestanding headlights The car has the original 1936 engine (85 bhp) transmission and 4 wheel mechanical brakes. Skip Hensey super cool leakless water pumps once the pumps were installed the the car runs very cool.
