Do a google search for corrosion inhibitor and you will find many options for spray on materials. I use Corrosion X for my airplane but there are options at the local auto store from CRC or LPS and others. They work great.

Re: Trying to protect tools from condensation rust. Tinkering Video.
I have a Sidchrome Tool Box full of genuine Sidchrome Tools that were made in Australia. These days, Sidchrome Tools are made overseas, and are not as highly regarded as the originals. To prevent them from going rusty, I gave them a liberal spray of WD40. The next time I went to my Tool Chest to get a Spanner out, I noticed that the WD40 had ruined the Handles of my 1/2" Reversible Ratchet, which is very disappointing to say the least. |
