Default Early Ford V8 Club election ballot revision

for those barners who are members of the Early Ford V8 Club of America, the following pertains to the annual election of Directors and International Representatives:

Due to a series of errors and omissions in the ballots recently sent to members by mail, the Club has decided that the best course for all concerned is to restart the process with new ballots. The new ballots will be printed in blue ink and for those members who receive hard copies of the Club magazine, those new ballots will be included with November-December, 2023 issue. For all other members, your new ballots will be sent by direct mail. Please discard the present ballots printed in black ink and use only the new ballot printed in blue ink that you will receive. The revised postmark deadline for returned blue ink ballots is January 27th.

When the ballots are reprinted, PLEASE include a map of the US showing the different regions. I can't figure out why Colorado is in the North Central region. A map would help everyone better understand the region layout. It needs to be on the ballot that everyone receives.

Perhaps an expensive but important lesson learned. Spelling matters. I was on the management block on the sales agreement of 3 small Ford dealerships. Twice the market rep's office misspelled my name. Once we had to send everything back for a redo and the third time I had to cross it off, write in the correct spelling and initial. I was probably one of the most laid back people you could work for but if I caught a customer's name misspelled on a repair order it got redone. Finance contracts and title work had to be 100% correct. My wife's legal name is Cathy and our last name is spelled Kelley so you can guess how often one or both have been misspelled. People will say it doesn't matter to them but they do care. Plus it shows attention to detail. I commend the club for the redo (I've been a member since 1987).

The list of states in each region are shown on page five of the Club's bylaws, which are readily accessible on the Club's website via the left hand column.

Thanks. I had not considered that New Zealand is South West of California, but it certainly is.

I have no idea why this map won't load larger. It's original file is amply large.

Note to regional Directors: A substanial number of Regional Groups are DORMANT/defunct ect. In Oregon alone 3 of them ?? Umqua [82] Eugene [53?] and Crater Lake [142]??? Umqua is a full on Street Rod club- Roseburg. Eugene has been DORMANT for 8yrs +; And Crater Lake is very quiet??
Regional Directors used to keep up on the individenal regionals and even visit them on meeting nites? Newc - Secretary of RG 82 Corvallis, Or

I received my "revised" ballot today in North Florida. PLEASE any Fordbarner's who read this post, PLEASE take the time and effort to "VOTE", the club needs your support and interest in moving the club forward and making it better for the future good. SO please take a minute of your time and vote, show your support. It does count and mean something
