Zenith float weight
I'm going thru a zenith and the float looks ok but it is heavy, it weights about 7/8ths of an ounce. Is that normal for these carbs?

Re: Zenith float weight
If 31 grams is correct, you're a bit light.
(7/8 ounce = 24.5 grams)

You will be emulating Rip VanWinkle waiting for that to happen. I will get to it when I finish up the 53 MGTD I am working on just now. And with all the doctor appointments we have, that will be a while.

You answered your own question, "The car seems to run OK without any problems".

I think this is where the visual gas level sight glass comes in. To minor adjustments

Re: Zenith float weight
GOOD stuff, the kind of information that makes this site great! Anyone have weight specs for either or both types of Model B float?

Re: Zenith float weight
It's organized like the Model A Service Bulletins, then. No problem.
I got my first set of Bulletins in maybe 1964, and still trip over new details there too... I'm sure the NEA will send you an unemployed graduate student to flesh out the index. |
