What makes you think that? If anyone is interested [ I sometimes wonder] during the Model A era, about half of Canadian production was exported. Most of that would have been RHD, mainly to British Dominion countries Australia, New Zealand, India, Sth East Asia & Sth & East Africa. They also sometimes helped out Ford US with export orders to other RHD markets.
Ford Canada would not have existed without its large export production & govt subsidies as domestic only sales were not big & winter sales were reduced ;it would not have warranted a large plant at Ontario & probably cheaper to import from US even with added import tax.
