yes they do and yesit does I have some pre war knobby tires in 16 that look like new. stored inside and never seen the sunlight. they also have a red dot

Lucas tire lists 4.75-5.00 X 19" Goodyear diamond tread tires. I have some on my car.

I don't know to which GoodYear 'Diamond Treads' you refer.

The original design from the Ford Factory (and Dealers) of 1930 and 1931 have been reproduced and are available from most of the Model A Parts houses and other sources.

The later 'After Market' Goodyear 'Diamond Treads' of the 1940's and '50's, which have a different side wall design (vertical grooves), are indeed hard to find today, and do represent possible 'aging' issues. As has been said, with proper storage, these tires (and almost all tires) can last for decades and still be safe to use. Sun light and heat are the main elements that degrade rubber tires. Ofcourse there will always be a chorus of 'nay sayers', who will be quick to contradict this sentiment, and I am sure they will chime in here.

If you share these doubter's concerns, then the uncontroversial choice would be the NEW GoodYear Diamond treads. Plus they have the great benefit of being currently available, whereas the old 1940's /''50's design are very difficult to find - especially in safe usable condition.

I do have a set of these Goodyear Diamond tread tires from the 1940's (with red dots) and they are in excellent and safe condition. As has been mentioned, while these do have a genuine 'Diamond Tread', the sidewall is noticeably different from the original Ford Factory tire.

speaking of does anyone make a knobbly tire for the AA's? (600-20 or 650-20) i like the "highway" tread tires but was wondering if anyone made any a tad more aggressive. my truck had some oddball tread tires on it when we pulled it out of the weeds. looked like an octopus arm with round suction cups as tread lol

pretty sure those are known as "snow tires" have a pair myself.......... turn your A into an all terrain vehicle!

Years ago I had a set of tractor ag tires on the back of my tudor. Off road it was great, on the road, not so much. These were narrow 21 inch tires, probably from a garden tractor. Maybe do a search on "off road tires" or "tractor tires".

They are readily available at the tire dealers but you have to be willing to pay the price as they are not cheap! Used ones usually are well beyond their safe driving life. Lucas, Snyders and Macs have Good Year tires! Wayne

my tires are from 76 they are checked but look good other wise. the spare is a co-op special looks 50s or earlier.

I would not trust 40 year old tires at any speed beyond parade speed. I believe you are taking a significant risk! Wayne

im not sure what brand I forgot to look yes I knew they are mud/ traction tires. id love to find a set in 19" that one is 16. ive seen them on model As but never anything good enough to use around the field
