Cool 31 delux roadster folding windshield AGAIN

Hi guys , I'm still stuck on this question: I even contacted the MAFCA they gave me suggestions and I did them but I'm still not satisfied I want to fold down the windshield on my 31 delux roadster but the only way I can do this is to remove the rubber seal on the bottom edge of the windshield, it then folds easy. with the rubber installed I feel I need a lot of force and don't want to break it. the rubber has to clear the cowl as it folds down and this is were the problem is. the windshield is new and so is the rubber seal , the stanchions are correct I have 3 sets to compare with so any one out there have any suggestions?

You might be trying to use a standard windshield and frame with a set of deluxe stantions. There are two different sizes. The standard frame is aproximately three quarters of an inch taller and could cause some kind of fit isue.

The standard frame is 1 3/4" taller than the deluxe.

I have the same problem. I'm not sure if the rubber is bigger then the original or what it is but mine will not fold down without hurting the rubber seal as well. ask me how I know that. only way to do it is remove it and re install it in the folded position

I have the correct frame and stanchions MAFCA they say with the rubber installed there should be no issues because that's how the original A's were. I really wish some one could solve this problem. because you have the same problem here's what I have done ,I cut the rubber to a smaller size and now the windshield folds easy. its not right but so far that's my only solution

Old Post- but here goes, I usually just flip the windshield up(so it's upside down) fold the stanchions down and then flip the glass over so the seal is on the opposite side.
