Default strange truck
Friend of mine has this '29 truck with what looks like a T body. There is no question that the running gear is an A but look at the body especially the windshield which pivots about 12" down from the top. The oval windows are beveled. What has he got

could be a body from one of the many many body companies that wer ein existence. Ford did offer just a hood and cowl - no body.

Yep, what he said. There's a chance it is a ford authorized body. A guy in our club has a drop floor 3 blank window panel, that was researched in the archives and the records found. So who knows.

Absolutely NO Model T evidence on this truck. Dealers, besides selling Ford cars and trucks, and all kinds of accessories for same, also sold Ford Chassis. For the most part this consisted of a full operating chassis and all body parts forward of the windshield, i.e.: front fenders, hood, radiator and shell, etc.

The purchaser, usually specialty body companies (ie. school busses, taxis, deliveries, etc., etc.) custom built every thing else behind the gas tank/cowl area. So there were an infinite variety of various kinds of 'specialty' bodies made. Your friend has one.
