Default bullet ends

I'm working on a friends "A" with light problem. I've solved the problem but a couple of bullet end are missing. The ones that are on looked to be crimped. The crimper for the cheap regular terminals just mash them flat. Is there a tool that leaves a nice round crimp?

Yes, there is, and it's a bit pricey. I just solder the ends on.

Finding a crimper that will keep the terminal round is the trick. It either has to be a type that crimps from 3 sides or at least one with a deep throat to minimize the distortion.

Soldering works well.

Here's a crimper that leaves a much better terminal crimp than the cheap flatten them pliers.

thats the only crimp style i use.... the flatten style is worthless as the wire can pull right out or leave a bad connection..

This is the one I use. Some say it's spendy, but I always thought that owning a Model A was just and excuse to buy more tools!

Why not use a wire stripper to crimp the ends by gently and gradually squeezing in around the bullet?

I found the crimper that Carl shows for $40 less than most other places.
