I have the firewall plate and the glove box plate, where can I find the third location for my 1949 F1?

Both plates match but don't match the title, dating goes back over 40 years ago....

front of frame on pass side top, may have to scrape frame paint off to see it, that was were mine was

The top of the right frame rail will have the number. It's usually back from the front crossmember a few inches. If the frame is painted use some lacquer thinner on a rag to remove the paint.

I'll be curious as to how you fare with your mission. Don't have any horror stories nor any complaints about WDOT but I haven't needed to correct an error. Good luck and keep us posted.
