60hp Block
My daughter has bunches of 60hp engine parts. She is shipping them to me to get rid of, or keep what I want. Question is,, she has a good cast block that a fellow wants where she lives, and she don't know where to price it nor do I. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would rather her sell it than to pay shipping to me.
Thanks, Lee |

Re: 60hp Block
I'm sure you will get a lot of prices but in the end its worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it starting out at about $100. There are a few people that have good use for a block but not many and a person would have to have the rest of the stuff to make anything out of it.

Re: 60hp Block
If it's a good block with the main caps, no cracks, I would say it's worth 500 bucks. Walt

Re: 60hp Block
Is this a tin side or cast iron side block? I would agree with Walt, should be equal to or maybe higher in value as compared to a good 21/24 stud block. At least $300-$500, possibly a little more because they are getting more difficult to find. So many were pulled from vehicles and replaced by the bigger engines or used in Midget and Hydroplane racing back in the day.

Re: 60hp Block
Thanks guys. That gives me something for her to work with. Its a complete block with caps and front cover. It is the cast block not the tin side. I have a tin side on my roadster.

And of course the "tin side" engines are actually Stainless Steel sides.... |
