1939 Standard coupe grille panels
I’m in the process of buying a very well preserved 1939 Standard coupe. I want it to be factory. The only thing the car may be missing are the grill panels below the hood. Do you know of any sources for replacements if they cannot find the panels? What is that panel called?
Any help is appreciated. |

Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
Ford called them hood side assemblies.
PN 91A-16618/19 We called them side vents. Should be relatively easy to get a pair from a Ford barn member or e-bay. |

Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
This is the panel that you are looking for. It is off a 1939 Ford Standard. These Panels are different to the 1938 Ford Deluxe Panels, so make sure they are like this. I did own this one, but it has since been sold. |

Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
Those side panels look to be in reasonable condition.
Not a bad price either. I would buy them and then look for the 2 curved " hockey stick " s/s trim pieces and the 4 small s/s trim pieces for the sides. Last edited by swoopNZ; 03-26-2021 at 01:02 AM. |

Re: 1939 Standard coupe grille panels
Those are nice! I've emailed the seller in Craiglist and am asking if he will ship to Washington State.
I really appreciate all the help! |
