They made 11,397 Deluxe Deliveries 2,875 Deluxe Phaetons and 35,830 Victorias in 1931. As for how many remain of any body style, no one knows for sure. Guesses can range by a factor of 10 times. I have heard estimates of the number of surviving Model As from 50,000 to 500,000.

It might be an interesting project for the National clubs to inventory their member clubs for year and types. Be sure owners do not report to both clubs. Would not be conclusive, but interesting nonetheless.

A survey by both MAFCA and MARC would be interesting and useful to the hobby as well as the businesses that support it but from an earlier survey here on Fordbarn, many readers do not belong to either national organization. How does one go about collecting their data. www.markschwing.com

If the clubs wanted to go beyond their membership, and I think it would be a good idea, they could devise a site or contact, put it here, in the magazines, etc for folks that did not report through the clubs. It would be an honor system, no problem with Aers, and would always be incomplete, but interesting and informative. I would hope the politics of What is an A, speedsters, modifieds, etc would not get too intense.
